Vela Technology Plc ("Vela" or "the Company") Investment in Advance Laser Imaging Limited 11 September 2013 Vela Technologies plc is pleased to announce a £75,000 investment in AdvanceLaser Imaging Limited (`ALI') a recently established company which uses laserscanning hardware and software applications to produce 360 degree 3D images andmodels. Such images can be created for anything from small components or piecesof forensic evidence at a micron level, up to buildings, industrial plants orareas of a town and can be utilised and manipulated to view scenes frommultiple perspectives at varying levels of detail, without any further scanningor photography. The models can be used to establish anything from bullettrajectory to suspect biometric information. There are many applications of the specialist technology in both private andpublic sectors including the Military; Property Development and Services;Police/Blue Light Services; Architecture; Insurance and Legal services, both inthe UK and abroad. Key personnel include four members of the Metropolitan Police Service team, twoexperienced business professionals with a track record in early stage, highgrowth businesses, a former Chief Constable of the Civil Nuclear Constabularyand Government official with extensive experience in the policing, security,intelligence and defence worlds. ALI is raising £300,000 to invest in further research and development and willseek to diversify the existing skills base to incorporate other elements ofgeomatics, computer visualisation and data presentation. Vela has committed £75,000 for a 6.25% interest in ALI.
