BOARD CHANGE

Jonathan Azis, non-executive Director of Victrex plc and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee is to retire from the Board on 30 September 2009, having completed two three year terms as a non-executive Director.

Anita Frew, Chairman of Victrex plc, said:

"Jonathan joined the Board in 2003 and has made a significant contribution to the development of Victrex.  We are most grateful for his contribution and wish him well in the future." 

Following Jonathan's retirement Victrex's Board will remain well balanced with a non-executive Chairman, three non-executive Directors and three executive Directors. Patrick De Smedt will take over as Chairman of the Victrex plc Remuneration Committee.
