Board Change
Van Elle, the geotechnical contractor offering a wide range of ground engineering techniques and services to customers in a variety of UK construction end markets, announces that Michael Ellis, Non-Executive Chairman, has indicated his intention to retire and step down from the Board with effect from 31st December 2016.
Adrian Barden, the Group's Senior Independent Director, will take over as acting Non-Executive Chairman. The Board will consider whether to appoint a further independent Non-Executive Director, alongside Adrian Barden and Robin Williams, in due course.
Adrian Barden, Senior Independent Director, commented:
"Michael Ellis founded Van Elle 32 years ago and has played an instrumental role in establishing the Group as the UK's leading geotechnical contractor. The Board is grateful for Michael's guidance and support in achieving the recent successful Initial Public Offering of the Group and wishes him well in his retirement."
