AGM Trading Update

At its Annual General Meeting held at 11.00 am today, Michael Jackson, Chairman of SnackTime PLC ("SnackTime" or the "Company"), read out the following statement: -

SnackTime, now the third largest vending company in the British Isles, is pleased to report that good progress has been made during the first six months of the financial year.

In the Summer of 2011, the Company completed a major restructuring of its vending division which resulted in four operating vending companies being amalgamated into two. The Company continues to maintain its market share and has achieved several major new customer wins over the last 6 months, including Arval UK, Blackburn Council, and Makro.

The Company is pleased to report that despite increased VAT and poor consumer confidence, sales have grown month-on-month through the first half of the year. Savings from the operating division restructuring started to show through towards the end of the half year and these will help to offset the impact of input price inflation stemming from the large rises in commodity prices over the last 12 months.

Snacktime now has four operating companies and three of these are performing broadly on budget. The fourth, VMI, which operates in the north of England, faces a challenging consumer and employment environment which is impacting sales performance. However, further operating efficiencies are planned for VMI and its sales pipeline is improving.

The Company does however, remain concerned about high input inflation, which has eased slightly but is still running at 13%. The combination of new customer sales wins and further efficiencies means that the Company expects to see continued improvements during the second half of the financial year.
