Board Changes

Utilitywise plc (AIM:UTW), a leading independent utility cost management consultancy, today announces that Geoff Thompson, Non-Executive Chairman, will step down from the Board of Directors at the next Annual General Meeting of the Company.

Geoff has served on the Board for over 11 years. The CEO since founding the Company in 2006, he became Executive Chairman in October 2016 and moved to the role of Non-Executive Chairman in April 2017.

Simon Waugh, who joined Utilitywise in November 2016 as Senior Independent Director, will succeed Geoff as Non-Executive Chairman. Simon has extensive experience in senior leadership roles, including seven years between 1997 and 2004 on the executive committee at Centrica plc as Sales & Marketing Director. He was also the CEO of Centrica Financial Services in the early part of his tenure, before later becoming Deputy Managing Director, British Gas.

Kathie Child-Villiers, who was appointed as a Non-Executive Director in February 2017, will replace Simon as Senior Independent Director. Kathie's extensive career as a corporate finance advisor to the energy sector in the UK, Europe and the US included eight years as Managing Director, Resources and Energy Group at HSBC plc Global Banking.

The Company also announces that Jeremy Middleton, who has served as a Non-Executive Director since 2013, is stepping down from the Board with effect from 13 December 2017.
