Universe Group PLC25 September 2006 25 September 2006 Universe Group plc Directors' Shareholding Universe Group plc (the "Company") announces that Ray Mackie, a Director of theCompany has today purchased 25,000 shares in the Company at 10.2 pence pershare. Following this transaction Ray Mackie is beneficially interested in 8,537,397shares representing 13.0 per cent. of the issued share capital.
