AGM Statement

Universe Group plc (UNG.L), a leading developer and supplier of payment and on-line loyalty systems, will be holding its Annual General Meeting later today and Chairman, Robert Goddard, will make the following statement:

"I am pleased to report that trading in the new financial year to date is in line with the comparable period last year and with market expectations.

The integration of Indigo Retail Technologies Limited ('Indigo') into the trading operations of the Group is progressing smoothly and we continue to be excited by the opportunities that the acquisition of Indigo brings.

I look forward to providing a further update on the Group's progress in due course"
