mda to Install TouchStar Mobile Technology in Push for Operational Excellence

Bradford UK, 10th January 2014: With over 25 years experience, mda is the UK's leading provider of outsourced fulfilment and procurement solutions to some of Britain's biggest brands and retailers. mda continually invest in leading edge systems in order to manage the entire fulfilment process and have recently integrated a number of TouchStars Vienna 7500 series truck mounted terminals into their fulfilment system within their operation.Following a thorough trial process, the system was fully tested in a live fulfilment centre environment. The trial enabled leading mobile computing solution providers, TouchStar to work closely with mda in order to tailor a system that fitted with all of mda's operational and technical requirements. The successful trial and subsequent system development allowed for a seamless integration from which mda now have access to advanced, flexible and future proofed technology fully supported by an all-inclusive 5 year support contract.The new system will be rolled out across further operations in the near future and mda expects it to be fully operational across all sites within the next 12 months. Carl Lee, Head of Fulfilment, explains, "Having worked closely with TouchStar at a previous company, my experience was positive, so it made sense to look at how their systems could also benefit mda and our clients. Following the pilot scheme, it is became clear that this new mobile technology would help us further optimise our fulfilment operation, increasing efficiencies whilst helping us maintain our quality levels.
