Asacha mining and production update
LONDON: 20 October 2016 - Trans-Siberian Gold plc ("TSG") (TSG.L) reports that mine development at Asacha in the third quarter of 2016 comprised 3,427 metres (m). Ore extraction (including ore from stoping and mine development) amounted to 130,600 tonnes (mt). In the first nine months of 2016, an average 13,570 mt per month was processed through the Asacha plant. The impact on gold production of planned mining in lower grade stopes in the third quarter was partially offset by increasing plant throughput (10.6% above target). Average gold grades in the blocks to be mined in the fourth quarter of 2016 are expected to be higher than those mined in the third quarter.
Mining and production at Asacha in the first nine months of 2016 is shown in the following table.
