Torex Retail PLC15 March 2005 15 March 2005 TOREX RETAIL PLC BOARD CHANGE Torex Retail Plc (the "Group"), the leading provider of IT solutions to majorEuropean retailers, is pleased to announce that following a review of thedevelopment of the Group's Retail Solutions operations in Continental Europe andbeyond, Group CTO Juergen Heck is to take an operationally important dual role.Firstly, in his capacity as Group CTO Mr Heck will concentrate on the ongoingtechnical development and innovative expansion of the Group's java-based LUCASproduct in the UK, the Continent and further new markets. His remit will alsoinclude additional product R&D initiatives. Secondly, Mr Heck will take the role of Chairman of the Torex Retail SolutionsGmbH operations in Europe in order to assist in the growth of that business ofwhich he was formerly CEO. In the light of these demanding responsibilities MrHeck has indicated his wish to step down from the Plc executive board withimmediate effect, and the Board, recognising the operational demands which thedual role will make, has accepted his resignation.
