Field Test Update

TomCo Energy plc (AIM: TOM), the US operating oil shale exploration and development group focused on using innovative technology to unlock unconventional hydrocarbon resources, provides the following update regarding the field test programme at the Company's Holliday A Block in Utah (the "Field Test").

Further to the Company's announcement of 25 July, the Company is pleased to announce that the Field Test is running to schedule, with drilling works having been completed the site has been occupied since 31 July and TurboShale Inc.'s RF transmitters have been operating since 2 August.

The Field Test team have been joined on site by Continental Electronics to provide additional expertise while the heating process is ramped up. As the formation heating advances, the team will additionally be joined by PROS Well Services to manage the output from the wells.

John Potter, CEO, commented: "I'm am very pleased with the progress of the Field Test. I would particularly like to thank IGES and Himes Drilling for the excellent preparation work in securing the Field Test site. The process moving forward will be to gradually increase the temperature of the formation and we look forward to keeping shareholders updated as the Field Test progresses."
