the Mission wins gold at 2014 Roses Creative Awards
Three of the Mission's Agencies, Bray Leino, Robson Brown and Big Communications all won gold at the 2014 Roses Creative Awards on Thursday 15th May, with Robson Brown securing the prestigious Grand Prix for its 'School Morning' campaign for Fresh Smoke Free North East.
'Don't be the 1', is an emotive campaign designed to raise awareness of the fact that one in two long-term smokers die early from a smoking related illness. Targeting 460,000 smokers and their families in the North East, the campaign illustrates the devastating effects of illness and the loss of a loved one on their families. The campaign which ran across TV, radio, cinema, digital activity and PR was praised by the judges for its heavyweight integrated activity and strong call to action.
In what marked a winning night for the Mission's Agencies, campaigns developed by Bray Leino and Big Communications were also recognised. Bray Leino won a total of five awards and two nominations, winning gold for its TV ad for Windsetlers on behalf of pharmaceutical company Thornton & Ross and gold for its 'Nessie' ad for Krispy Kreme doughnuts. The Agency also won silver awards for Tribute Ale and Tribute Rugby campaigns for St Austell Brewery. Big Communications won a total of four awards, Gold for its Domino's Pizza campaign, Silver for Alder Hey Children's Hospital copywriting and bronze for its press campaign for Harley-Davidson.
