University Technology Commercialization Programme

Tekcapital plc (AIM: TEK), the UK intellectual property (IP) investment group focused on creating marketplace value from university technology, announces that it will be delivering an advanced technology commercialization and university start-up training programme in Santiago, Chile in May 2018. The five-day programme will include participants from 13 Chilean research universities and two research institutions.1

The sponsor of this unique programme is the Chilean government Agency CORFO, the main Chilean agency focused on entrepreneurship, innovation and competitiveness. Their objective is to form new technology-based businesses in Chile, and around the world, based on the technologies and innovations that have been developed in Chile's universities and national research centres.

Commenting on the programme, Dr Gross, Tekcapital's CEO, said; "We are excited to announce our new programme with HUB APTA and the Chilean Biotechnology Association, to provide training services, Invention Evaluator reports and our software apps in Chile, a leader in technology innovation in Latin America. This activity builds on our initial programmes in Mexico last year and we are in early discussions for similar type programmes in Brazil, the largest market in Latin America.
