Thomas Cook Group plc Director Declaration

Thomas Cook Group plc announces that Michael Beckett, its Non-Executive Chairman, will join the Board of Banro Corporation, a company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, as a Non-Executive Director with effect from Friday, 1 January 2010.

Michael Beckett is currently Non-Executive Chairman of Endeavour Financial Corporation in  Canada. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Petroamerica Oil Corporation, in Canada; Northam Platinum Limited and Mvelaphanda Resources Limited in South Africa; Orica Limited in Australia and The Egypt Trust in Luxembourg.

This disclosure is made pursuant to paragraph 9.6.14R of the Listing Rules. There are no other disclosures to be made pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13R (2) - (6) of the Listing Rules.
