Appointment of Non-executive Director

TP ICAP plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce that Kath Cates is to be appointed a Non-executive Director of the Company and will become a member of the Company's Risk, Audit and Nominations & Governance Committees. She will assume the positions with effect from 1 February 2021. Following the 2021 AGM in May next year, Ms Cates will assume the role of Chair of the Risk Committee following Michael Heaney's term as Interim Chair. Mr Heaney will remain on the Company's Board and a member of the Risk, Remuneration and Nominations & Governance Committees.

A qualified lawyer, Ms Cates has spent over 25 years in global financial services both in the UK and overseas. She was previously Global Chief Operations Officer, Wholesale Banking for Standard Chartered plc, responsible for a broad portfolio including risk, technology, operations, legal and compliance, HR, strategy and marketing. Prior to that she spent 22 years at UBS in roles spanning legal, operations, risk and compliance.

Since 2013 Ms Cates has focused on her non-executive roles, gaining considerable experience on the boards of a number of companies, as a member and chair of main board committees, and undertaking the role of senior independent director.

Ms Cates is currently a non-executive director of RSA Insurance Group plc, chairing the remuneration committee and also a member of the risk, audit and nominations committees, and a non-executive director, chair of the risk committee and member of the audit and nominations committees of Brewin Dolphin Holdings plc. She is also a non-executive director of Threadneedle Investment Services Limited, Threadneedle Pensions Limited and Threadneedle Asset Management Holdings Sarl. Most recently Ms Cates was appointed a non-executive director of United Utilities Group plc where she is a member of the remuneration and nomination committees and is a non-executive director of United Utilities Water Limited.

TP ICAP plc confirms that there are no other details that are required to be disclosed under 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules of the Financial Conduct Authority.
