London, UK, 2nd July 2019: Shield Therapeutics plc (LSE:STX), a commercial stage, pharmaceutical company with a focus on addressing iron deficiency with or without anaemia via its lead product Feraccru®, announces that it issued and allotted 100,000 Ordinary Shares of 1.5p each following the exercise of options under the Shield Therapeutics Retention and Performance Share Plan.
Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for the New Ordinary Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM. Admission is expected to be effective on 8th July 2019. The Ordinary Shares shall rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares in the Company.
Following admission, the Company's issued share capital will comprise 117,188,657 ordinary Shares and each Ordinary Share carries one vote. There are no Ordinary Shares held in treasury and accordingly, the total number of voting rights is 117,188,657. This figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
