Spiritel PLC01 August 2005 For immediate release 1 August 2005 SPIRITEL PLC ("Spiritel" or "the Company") Directors' Share Purchases Spiritel plc (AIM: STP), the telecommunications services business, announcesthat the Company's Chairman, Lord St John of Bletso, and its Deputy Chairman,John Vergopoulos, have both purchased ordinary shares of 1p each ("OrdinaryShares") in the Company following the announcement of the Company's preliminaryresults on 29 July 2005. Lord St John of Bletso purchased 75,000 Ordinary Shares at 8.75p per OrdinaryShare bringing his total holding to 150,000 Ordinary Shares, equivalent to 0.10per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
