The Directors of Stobart Group Ltd wish to announce the resignation of Tim Chesney, Non Executive Director with effect from 1 September 2008.
Rodney Baker-Bates, chairman of Stobart Group said: "Tim has been involved with the original Westbury property portfolio and subsequently the Stobart Group since flotation in 2002. He has been a strong, independent and involved non-executive. We will miss his wise and experienced counsel, but fully realise that having completed the merger with Eddie Stobart and bringing the Group onshore, the time involved for the Board with managing a substantial and expanding operating business has increased significantly. I fully understand, that with his other commitments, he can no longer give the time he wishes to the Group's affairs"
The Board of Stobart Group would like to thank Mr Chesney for his valuable contribution to the Board over the last six years.
