STM Group Plc (AIM: STM), the multi-jurisdictional financial services group, is pleased to announce that Alan Kentish, Director of Business and Product Development, has today acquired 1.1 million ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each in the capital of STM ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 18.5p per Ordinary Share.
Further to the purchase, which is subject to regulatory approval, Alan Kentish will own 5,968,817 Ordinary Shares, representing 11.17% of the Company's issued share capital and voting rights, in his personal name and through his beneficial holding in Clifton Participants Inc.
The Ordinary Shares have been acquired from International Financial Options Limited, a personal investment vehicle of Nigel Green and family. Nigel Green, and his related companies continue to hold 7.9 % of the issued share capital and voting rights and he remains a loyal shareholder and supporter of the Group.
Commenting on the share purchase, Colin Porter, Chief Executive of STM, said:
"This share transaction is a further step in Nigel Green's long term strategy towards his investment in STM, enabling him to concentrate his efforts and resources on his other business interests now that STM has fully developed robust processes and administration services within its pensions business.
