SOFTWARE RADIO TECHNOLOGY PLC Chinese Air Force takes first delivery of TETRA handsets The Directors of Software Radio Technology plc ("SRT" or the "Company") arepleased to announce that the Chinese Air Force has taken delivery of its firsttrial TETRA handsets in the first step of its rollout of TETRA.The handset has been designed and manufactured by a Chinese government-ownedcompany for supply to the Chinese military. The handset is based on SRT's coreTETRA handset technology reference design.The technology licence agreement between SRT and the local manufacturerprovides the manufacturer with the core technology, development and productiontools and training to develop its own unique handset. The manufacturer istherefore able to create its own range of handsets which are tailored to theform and function required by local customers. SRT receives licence and productdevelopment fees during the development of the customer's handset and a royaltyon every handset manufactured.Simon Tucker, SRT's Commercial Director said "This is an important milestonefor both SRT and our customer and we are extremely proud.
