Software Radio Technology PLC29 April 2008 SOFTWARE RADIO TECHNOLOGY PLC TETRA handset receives approval The Directors of Software Radio Technology plc ("SRT" or the "Company"), theAIM-quoted provider of digital wireless communications technology and productsolutions, are pleased to announce that its new TETRA handset has received itsfirst formal infrastructure interoperability approval. The approval granted relates to the formal testing and approval which arerequired from the manufacturers of TETRA networks to prove interoperability. Theprocess is operated by an independent organisation and verifies that the productis able to operate on a given network infrastructure. At this time, the handset is undergoing a series of multiple formal approvalsand its first pre-production run with our chosen contract manufacturer,Flextronics Inc. Production is expected to commence during the second half ofthis year. In 2007, the Company announced that it would be developing its own TETRA (OEMwhite label) handset utilising its own core technology solution. This marked anevolution of the Company's traditional license-revenue based business modelwithin the framework of remaining an enabler of a global network of localsuppliers of TETRA products under their own local brands. The initiativeleverages the existing core technology solution to generate increased revenuesfrom wider market segments.
