Appointment of Phil Codd as Managing Director of SQS Ireland
SQS (AIM: SQS.L), the largest independent software testing and quality management consultancy in Europe, has appointed Phil Codd as Managing Director for SQS Ireland. Responsible for the sales and delivery functions of SQS Ireland, Phil will oversee the continued growth and profitability of the Irish operations, which includes the business operations in Northern Ireland.
Mr. Codd joins SQS from SAP where he was Managing Director of operations in Ireland. His experience and expertise will be of significant value to SQS, tying in with the Company’s broader SAP strategy. He has also held senior roles for the Irish operations of the major multinational software vendors Oracle and Siebel.
Phil has over 25 years experience in the IT industry, which has been dominated by sales into Commercial andGovernment Sectors and Financial Services in Ireland. Having spent most of the eighties working for software organisations in the UK in a variety of software and business development roles he returned to Ireland in 1990 to help establish Ingres as a key relational database management system in the Irish Market. The following years encompassed many of the major fields of interest within IT including data warehousing, business intelligence, and CRM & ERP. His current focus is on shared services; the subject of governance, risk & compliance; and how small & medium companies can benefit from technology.
