EMCO is well known in the USA as a provider of flow measurement products forHVAC, industrial applications involving steam, gas and liquids, and commercialand municipal water and waste water applications. EMCO product lines includevortex, turbine and ultrasonic flow meters which complement and enhance theGroup's existing flow metering technology. The EMCO business will become adivision of Spirax Sarco, Inc. The purchase consideration, which is $4.5 million (£2.5 million), will be paidin cash and funded from existing resources. Spirax Sarco provides knowledge, service and products for the control andefficient use of steam and other industrial fluids worldwide.
