Spirax Sarco acquires Flexicon UK Distributor for £500K
Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc, the world leader in the control and efficient use of steam and in peristaltic pumping, announces that, through its subsidiary company Watson-Marlow Limited, it acquired on 3rd November 2008 the entire issued share capital of PAK Machinery Ltd in the UK. The acquisition includes the UK distribution rights for the peristaltic aseptic filling system business of Flexicon A/S, based in Denmark, that Spirax acquired in February 2008.
The PAK Machinery Ltd business will be integrated into the Watson-Marlow UK business and will complement the existing peristaltic pumps business for dispensing applications in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
The purchase consideration of £500K excludes any cash or debt and will be financed from the Group's existing cash resources. £450K was paid on completion.
