Acquisition of 4thegame.com

Sportech PLC ("Sportech" or "The Group"), one of the UK's leading gaming businesses, today announces the acquisition of 4thegame.com, the oldest and one of the most respected football community websites, for £600,000. 

The acquisition will strengthen the already considerable online presence of The New Football Pools. With 700,000 unique monthly users and an international customer base, 4thegame.com is a strategically important acquisition as well as an ideal host website to cross sell and market the full suite of Sportech's football games. The acquisition will provide cost efficient football content to the recently relaunched Sportech website footballpools.com

Under the terms laid out in the new service agreement, Fast Web Media, a leading Sports Digital Agency in the UK, and previous owners of the website, will continue to provide their operational and creative expertise to 4thegame.com.
