Director's Dealing

SNR, the AIM listed natural resources developer operating in South Africa, announces that, on 21 December 2012, its Commercial Director, Barry Nel, sold 3.1 million ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") to clients of JO Hambro Investment Management Ltd ("JO Hambro"). These Ordinary Shares were sold at 25.5 pence each and were registered in the name of Southern Cape Corridor Power (Pty) Ltd. Following this sale, Barry Nel has an interest in 11 million Ordinary Shares, representing 6.5 per cent. of SNR's issued ordinary share capital.

Barry Nel, who turned 70 earlier this year, intends to retire from his role as Commercial Director of SNR with effect from the end of February 2013. Barry Nel will continue to serve on the Board of the Company in a non-executive role and will continue to fulfil the role of non-executive Chairman for the Company's 74% owned subsidiary, Elitheni Coal (Pty) Ltd ("Elitheni"), in South Africa.

Richard Latham, Chairman of SNR said "Barry has played a pivotal role in the development of SNR from its early beginnings to the present. We appreciate the contribution he has made and I am delighted he will remain as Non-Executive Chairman of Elitheni so that his wisdom and experience will continue to be available to the SNR Board as he becomes a Non-Executive Director."
