BOARD CHANGES
WH Smith PLC today announces the appointment of Marion Sears to the WH Smith Board and the retirement of Annemarie Durbin
WH Smith today announces the appointment of Marion Sears as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee with effect from 1 February 2022 and that, in accordance with the Company's Board succession plan, Annemarie Durbin will step down as a Non-Executive Director after serving on the Board for 9 years following the Company's Annual General meeting in January 2022.
Marion joins the Board of WH Smith with financial and retail expertise. Marion had a career in the City as an analyst and subsequently in investment banking and international M&A. Marion has extensive board experience as she has served on a number of private and public company boards as a Non-Executive Director. Marion is currently a Non-Executive Director at Dunelm Group PLC, Fidelity European Trust PLC, Aberdeen New Dawn Investment Trust PLC and Keywords Studios PLC.
Other than as set out in this announcement there are no further disclosures required in respect of Marion Sears under paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
