Results of Share Repurchase Program
Pursuant to the Board's authorization on October 31, 2017, Samsung Electronics recently completed the fourth and final phase of its share repurchase program for 2017. Details of the final phase are set forth below:
1. Repurchase Period: November 1, 2017 to January 26, 2018
2. Repurchased Common Shares:
- Number of Shares: 712,000
- Average Price Per Share: KRW 2,600,845
- Total Amount: KRW 1,852 billion
3. Repurchased Preferred Shares:
- Number of Shares: 178,000
- Average Price Per Share: KRW 2,107,977
- Total Amount: KRW 375 billion
* Shares repurchased during this period are subject to cancellation.
* In our fourth quarter 2016 earnings release in January 2017, we announced our plan to carry out a share repurchase program in 2017 worth 9.3 trillion won, and we have completed the fourth and final phase of the program as of January 2018.
