Charitable Contribution

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (KS005930, KS005935, SMSN, SMSD) ("SEC") on April 30, 2019 announced that its Board of Directors has authorized the following contributions.

Contribution to the Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency

- SEC in June 2019 will contribute KRW 31 billion to the Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency to establish an occupational safety

and health center and build infrastructure for workers in the electronics industry.

Provision of performance incentives to suppliers of the Device Solutions Division

- SEC will provide approximately KRW 77.45 billion across 296 first- and second-tier suppliers of the DS Division (scheduled to be

provided in July 2019 and January 2020) as incentives to prevent worksite accidents, improve productivity, and support co-growth.

The specific amounts to each supplier will be calculated after supplier evaluations.
