Statement re: litigation

San Leon notes the recent press article regarding outstanding legal fees due to Herbert Smith Freehills. Herbert Smith Freehills LLP obtained a judgement against San Leon Energy in the High Court on 12 May 2016 for approximately £500,000. The Company confirms that this amount was included in the amount set aside for repayment of current creditors within the breakdown of the use of placing proceeds set out in the Company's admission document published on 26 August 2016 and in current creditors in the final results announcement made on 29 June 2016. The Company was unaware that the applicable court summons had been issued and has subsequently agreed with Herbert Smith Freehills LLP that such payment will be made by 30 September 2016.
