San Leon Energy Plc ("San Leon" or the "Company") announces that application has been made for the admission to AIM of 32,917,154 new ordinary shares of €0.05 each in the Company ("Shares").

The new Shares have been issued in relation to:

·; 30,845,336 new Shares issued to PGS Ventures AS ('PGS Ventures'): 30,633,092 new Shares were issued at 15 pence per Share and 212,244 new Shares were issued at 26.4 pence per Share. These new Shares were issued to partially fund seismic surveys completed in Albania and Ireland pursuant to the seismic services agreement entered into by San Leon with PGS Ventures announced on 18 September 2009; and

·; 2,071,818 new Shares pursuant to the exercise of options and warrants.

The new Shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the Company's existing shares, and dealings are expected to commence on 25 July 2011 ("Admission").

Following Admission, the Company's enlarged issued share capital will comprise 822,076,865 ordinary shares, with voting rights. The Company does not hold any ordinary shares in treasury. Therefore the total number of ordinary shares in the Company with voting rights will be 822,076,865. This figure may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change in their interest in, the share capital of the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
