Director Appointment

SIG plc ("SIG", "the Company", or "the Group"), a leading European specialist supplier of insulation, exteriors, interiors and specialist construction products, today announces that Doug Robertson has been appointed Group Finance Director designate. Doug will join SIG on 1 November 2011 and will be appointed to the SIG Board on 1 December 2011.

As previously announced Gareth Davies has decided to leave SIG after 18 years of service, the last 9 as Finance Director. He will be resigning as a Director of the Company on 30 November 2011 following a handover period to Mr Robertson.

Previously, Doug (57) was Finance Director of Umeco plc from 2007 until 2011 and Finance Director of Seton House Group Limited from 2002 until 2007. From 1994 to 2000 he held a variety of Divisional Finance Director roles within Williams plc and, in 2000, became Managing Director of Tesa Group, the hotel security division of Chubb plc.

No further information is required to be disclosed in respect of Doug Robertson pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R (1) to (6).
