The Sage Group plc. (Sage) is pleased to announce that Derek Harding has been appointed to the Board as independent Non-executive Director with effect from 2 March 2021. On appointment, Derek will become a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.

Derek is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Spectris plc, appointed in March 2019 and has held several senior financial leadership roles during his career including Chief Financial Officer at Senior plc between 2013 to 2017, Group Finance Director at Shop Direct and Finance Director of Wolseley UK. He also has broad experience across a range of commercially focused financial and operational roles including strategy, investor relations, and mergers and acquisitions. Derek qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC.

Sir Donald Brydon, Chairman, said: "I am delighted to welcome Derek to the Sage Board. His financial acumen, commercial expertise and experience of leading business transformation will be valuable in adding strength and depth to our existing Board capabilities".

A separate announcement regarding the appointment of a successor for Sir Donald Brydon, Chairman who is due to retire from Sage in September 2021, will be made in due course.

There are no further disclosures required for the purposes of Listing Rule 9.6.13.
