SPEEDY HIRE PLC ("SPEEDY HIRE" OR THE "COMPANY")
DIRECTOR/PDMR SHAREHOLDINGS: Notification under DTR 3.1.4R (1) (a)
Speedy Hire announces the following changes to Directors/Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility ("PDMR's") interests in the Company's ordinary 5p shares ("Shares").
Pursuant to invitations issued on 4 September 2009 to all eligible UK and Irish employees of Speedy Hire, options over an aggregate 5,024,311 Shares were granted on 5 October 2009 under the Company's UK and Irish SAYE Schemes (together, the "Schemes"). The Schemes are all employee schemes which give the opportunity for employees to acquire Shares at a discount of 20% of the market value of the Shares at the time the invitation is issued.
Of the total number of awards, options were granted to PDMR's as follows:

In consideration of these options, the grantee will make monthly savings contributions during the associated three year savings contract. At the end of the three years a bonus of 0.3 times one month's saving will be given for the SAYE Scheme. The exercise price is Ā£0.29 per Share.
These options will normally be exercisable during a 6 month period commencing on 1 November 2012.
