Speedy Hire, the UK and Ireland's leading provider of tools, specialist equipment and services, announces the appointment of Andrew McNaughton CBE to the Board as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 July 2026. He will also serve as a member of the Audit & Risk, Nomination and Remuneration Committees of the Board from that date.

Andrew has over 40 years' experience in the construction and infrastructure sectors and is currently a Non-Executive Director and advisor to several infrastructure and capital intensive industrial companies. A Chartered Civil Engineer, he was previously the CEO of Balfour Beatty Plc, the international construction and engineering organisation and Chief Operating Officer of Systra SA, French owned global transportation engineering company. Most recently, he was an Executive Director of AWE plc, a nuclear security business. Andrew is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and Vice President of the Institution of Civil Engineers

As previously announced, David Garman, Non-Executive Director, will step down from the Board at the forthcoming AGM.

David Shearer, Chairman, commented:

The Company confirms that there is no further information required to be disclosed under UKLR 6.4.8R.
