The Board of Softcat plc ("Softcat", or the "Company"), a leading UK provider of IT infrastructure technology and services, announces that Senior Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Nomination Committee, Karen Slatford, has advised the Company that due to health reasons she will retire from the public company boards on which she currently serves, including Softcat, with effect from today.

Lynne Weedall, Non-Executive Director, will assume the roles of Senior Independent Non-Executive Director and also Chair of the Nomination Committee on an interim basis.

The Board has sufficient coverage from its remaining Board members for the Board and its committees to operate effectively. Decisions on possible additions to the Board's composition will be taken in due course.
