Southern Cross Healthcare Group PLC (LSE: SCHE) ("Southern Cross" or the "Group") announces that Richard Midmer, Group Finance Director, has requested that he step down as a main Board Director on 31st December. Mr Midmer will continue to be employed by the Group and will concentrate on its restructuring negotiations with landlords. He will be replaced as Group Finance Director by David Smith, currently Director of Finance and Support Services. Mr Smith, who will join the Board, has been with Southern Cross for five years and is a chartered accountant. The roles of Director of Finance and Support Services and that of Group Finance Director will be merged.
The Group also takes the opportunity to announce that it has appointed Damian West to its Executive Committee in the new position of Director of Strategy and Planning.
