Trading Update

Saga plc, the UK's leading provider of products and services primarily tailored for customers over the age of 50, provides the following trading update covering the period 1 February 2015 to 22 June 2015. At 10.00 am today Saga plc is holding its Annual General Meeting in Folkestone.

The Group has made good progress in delivering the strategic objectives outlined for the year ending January 2016, including:

· Remaining on track to launch the Motor Insurance panel during the summer of 2015

· Announcing the appointment of Nicola Audhlam-Gardiner as Managing Director of Saga Investment Services, our wealth management joint venture

· Receiving FCA approval for the acquisition of Bennetts Bikes and progressing towards completion

· Evaluating options to acquire new shipping capacity to enhance our successful Cruise business

Saga plc also announces that, as projected at the time of Saga's IPO and following a 16 month handover period with Lance Batchelor, Andrew Goodsell will become Non-Executive Chairman on 1 July 2015.

The Group's Interim Results will be announced on 30 September 2015.

Lance Batchelor, Chief Executive Officer, said:

"We have started the year well, with strong trading across all business divisions. This performance is in line with our expectations and we remain on track to deliver on our growth target for the year".
