Reliance Security Group PLC05 April 2005 For immediate release Reliance Security Group plc ("Reliance") Contract Award - Cleveland Police Authority PFI The Directors of Reliance are pleased to announce that Reliance Secure TaskManagement Limited ("RSTM"), a wholly-owned operating company, has been awarded,as part of a consortium, a 25 year Private Finance Initiative ("PFI") contractfor Cleveland Police Authority. This follows its appointment as preferred bidderfor the contract, which was announced on 4 October 2004. The project involves the financing, design and construction of two custodycentres, two divisional headquarters and two town centre police stations. RSTMwill provide a comprehensive range of support services, starting towards the endof 2006, including building, utilities and asset management; security servicesand health & safety management; laundry and waste management; groundsmaintenance and pest control; storage and handling of video and audio tapes; thehandling of stray dogs and the provision of a help desk. It is estimated thatthe 25-year support services contract will generate turnover for RSTM of £1.3million in a full year.
