London, 23 December 2013: Ruspetro plc (LSE: RPO) today announces that Mr Rolf Stomberg (73 years old), the Company's Senior Independent Director, will step down from the Board of the Company with effect from 1 January 2014.
The Board will appoint, in due course, a new Senior Independent Director and replace Mr Stomberg's positions on the Remuneration and Nomination Committees.
The Board will also consider the composition of the Board as a whole to ensure that it complies with the best practice of the UK Corporate Governance Code with regards to board independence.
