Vane Minerals PLC01 April 2008 1st April 2008 VANE Minerals Plc (AIM:VML) ('VANE' or the 'Company') Board Changes VANE announces that it has accepted the resignation of Robert Jeffcock,Non-Executive Director and Co-Founder of the Company, who is retiring witheffect from 31st March 2008. Kristopher K. Hefton (Aged 53), who has been with the Company since 2004, hasbeen appointed to the board as Executive Director. Mr. Hefton, who is the COO ofVANE's uranium division, VANE Minerals (US) LLC, and is based in the US, hasconsiderable experience as a uranium geologist and is a valued addition to theVANE board. He joined the VANE group having previously worked forFreeport-McMoran, Barrick Gold Corporation, Homestake Mining Company and EnergyFuels Nuclear where he gained his initial experience in uranium exploration onthe Colorado Plateau. Mr Hefton owns 116,000 ordinary shares of the Company. There is no otherinformation to disclose under paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules forCompanies for the appointment of Mr. Hefton. With the appointment of Mr Hefton, the Board will comprise 4 executive directorsand 1 non-executive director. The Company is actively engaged in seeking twoadditional independent non-executive directors, including a Chairman to enhancethe Board further as it pursues an intended dual listing on the Toronto StockExchange in the second half of 2008. A further announcement in this regard willbe made in due course.
