Rotork plc ('Rotork') announces that Peter Dilnot will be appointed a non-executive director of Rotork with effect from 1 September 2017. He will be a member of the Audit, Nomination and Remuneration Committees of the Board.

Peter is the Chief Executive Officer of the international waste-to-product company Renewi plc created earlier this year by the merger of Shanks Group plc and Van Gansewinkel Groep B.V., having held the position of CEO of Shanks Group plc since February 2012. With an engineering background, before joining Shanks, Peter was a senior executive at Danaher Corporation, a leading global industrial business listed on the NYSE. He held a number of general management roles including President Danaher Middle East, Group President Emerging Markets, and MD EMEA & Asia of its Gilbarco Veeder-Root subsidiary. Before Danaher, Peter spent seven years at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) based in both London and Chicago, working primarily with industrial and pharmaceutical clients, and was a leader in BCG's global Sales and Marketing Practice.

Given his listed company Chief Executive role and background in international business and the engineering industry, Peter brings significant experience that will be valuable to Rotork. The Board is delighted to welcome Peter to the Group.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (2) - (6) of the Listing Rules, Peter has confirmed that he has no details to disclose.
