AGM Statement

At the Group's Annual General Meeting to be held today, Roy Harrison, Chairman of Renew will say the following:

"I am pleased to report that trading for the first quarter of the year has been satisfactory. The order book at 31 December 2008, which does not include the potential benefits from framework agreements or preferred bidder situations, remained strong at £220m. At 31 December 2008, the company's net cash balance was still in excess of £25m following the acquisition of C. & A. Pumps Limited on 1 October 2008 for £1.75m.

In line with our strategy, management is continuing to pursue further suitable, earnings enhancing acquisitions to add to our Specialist Engineering business. 

I look forward to reporting on further progress at the time of the Group's interim results, which will be announced on Tuesday 19 May 2009."
