Hong Leong Company (Malaysia) Berhad
This announcement is made further to the announcement made on 4 July 2013 regarding Guoco Group Limited's dividend in specie of Rank shares.
On 9 September 2013, Rank received notification, under the obligations imposed by Section DTR5 of the FCA's Disclosure Rules and Transparency Rules, from Hong Leong Company (Malaysia) Berhad ("Hong Leong Co.") that, as at 5 September 2013, Hong Leong Co. had a notifiable interest in the voting rights attached to 269,120,221ordinary 138/9p shares representing 68.88% of the total voting rights in Rank.
Notes
The voting rights are held by Rank Assets Limited ("RAL"), Guoline Overseas Limited ("GOL") and Asian Financial Common Wealth (PTC) Limited ("AFCW") which hold 202,202,669, 65,830,300 and 1,087,252 shares respectively. AFCW is a controlled undertaking of Guoco Management Company Limited which is a controlled undertaking of Guoco Group Limited ("GGL"). RAL is a controlled undertaking of GGL which is a controlled undertaking of GOL. GOL is a controlled undertaking of Hong Leong Company (Malaysia) Berhad.
