Real Estate Investors PLC24 February 2005 Real Estate Investors PLC ("REI" or "the Company") Acquisition REI announces that it has today exchanged unconditional contracts to purchasethe freehold interest in a town centre retail investment in The Marlowes, HemelHempstead, Hertfordshire. The total consideration for the acquisition is£1,085,000 and will be paid as to £900,000 in cash and the balance by the issueto the vendors of new 1p ordinary shares in REI, at the middle market price onthe day of completion of the contract. The property totals 4,250 sq ft in floor area and comprises a retail shop, withself contained office accommodation above. It is let in its entirety to CentricaPLC, at a current rental of £77,900 per annum. Adjacent occupiers includeWoolwich, Abbey National and McDonalds.
