Appointment of Director
Verdes (AIM: VMP) announces the following appointment to the board. David Mends FCA is joining the Board with immediate effect as a non-executive Director. David will work with the current board to implement and execute the Company's new investing strategy which was approved by shareholders following its classification as an investing company earlier this year.
"David qualified as a chartered accountant and following a move into industry held a variety of roles with British Leyland and International Paint before taking executive board appointments with Reliant Motor plc and Nash Industries plc. Since 1990 David has acted as a business consultant to a number of private and public companies involved in manufacturing, retailing and property services whilst also identifying and completing the MBI of a furniture component manufacturer."
Gill Leates, Chairman Director commented: "I am delighted to welcome David to the Board. His wide-ranging experience will serve the Company well both in this transitional period whilst Verdes seeks to implement its investing policy, and beyond."
