Directorate changes

Quartix Holdings plc, a leading supplier of subscription-based vehicle tracking systems, software and services in the UK, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ed Ralph as Chief Operating Officer. Ed joined the Company in February this year and yesterday, at a committee meeting of the board to approve the interim results, was appointed to the Board of Quartix Holdings plc.

Ed brings to Quartix extensive experience and a proven track record in technology management, digital marketing and eCommerce. From 2001 to 2015 he built and led the technology team at Abcam plc ("Abcam"), having joined the company as the seventh employee and at a time when its revenues were just £200k. After leaving Abcam Ed served in non-executive or consultancy roles related to technology and marketing at a range of Cambridge-based companies, including Red Gate Software, Axol Bioscience and Congenica. During this time he also conducted consulting projects for Quartix in 2016 before joining the Company full time in February 2017.

Ed has a first-class honours degree in biochemistry from Southampton University, a PhD in molecular biology and biotechnology from Sheffield University and was conducting post-doctoral research at the University of Cambridge prior to joining Abcam.

Commenting on the appointment, Andy Walters, Managing Director of Quartix, said: "Having worked with Ed since last year, I am delighted that he is now joining the Board in this senior executive role. Ed brings proven skills in digital marketing, technology and eCommerce which will be invaluable to Quartix in the next stage of its development."

The Company is also announcing today that, following 10 years of exceptional service to the business, David Bridge, the Company's Finance Director, has indicated that he would like to retire from the business at some point in 2018. David remains committed to the company and will work with the rest of the Board to ensure that an orderly transition is achieved. Plans to recruit a successor for David are already well underway, and a further announcement concerning his appointment will be made in due course.
