Purplebricks appoints two highly experienced property industry executives to its Board

Purplebricks, the UK's leading tech-led estate agency, is pleased to announce the appointment of Adrian Gill and Gareth Helm, two highly experienced property industry executives, to its Board as independent Non-Executive Directors. They will both join the Board with effect from 1 October 2022.

Adrian Gill has 20 years' experience as a property executive including as Finance Director and Group Commercial Director of Connells, Executive Director, Estate Agency at LSL Property Services PLC, and Group CEO of Leaders Romans Group.

Gareth Helm has over 30 years' marketing expertise, largely as a chief marketing officer in high-profile, consumer-facing businesses including Zoopla, McDonald's, Moneysupermarket, Mars and Homeserve.

Adrian Blair will step down as a Non-Executive Director on 1 October 2022 following four years as a member of Purplebricks' Board.

Commenting on the changes to the Board, Paul Pindar, Chairman, said:

Background on Gareth Helm and Adrian Gill

Gareth Francis Helm (aged 54) was Chief Marketing Officer for Zoopla for four years between 2015-2019 before taking the same position at McDonald's restaurants between 2019-2020 and subsequently Homeserve from 2020-2022. He is currently a non-executive director at Higgidy, a food business owned by Samworth Brothers. 

He holds or has held the following directorships or partnerships in the past five years:

Adrian Stuart Gill (aged 55) is a Chartered Accountant who joined Connells in 2002 as Group Finance Director before becoming Group Commercial Director in 2007. During his 10 years with Connells, Adrian helped transform it into a broad property services business, growing profits from £10m to over £100m at its peak.

Adrian joined LSL plc in 2012 and later became Executive Director, Estate Agency at LSL Property Services PLC, which included Your Move, Reeds Rains and Marsh & Parsons. Following this, he was Group CEO of Leaders Romans, responsible for 140 sales and lettings branches. Since 2019 Adrian has been a non-executive director at a number of Proptech companies.
