Pittards PLC20 June 2006 Pittards plc - disposal Pittards plc, producers of technically advanced leather for many of the world'sleading brands of gloves, shoes, luxury leathergoods and sports equipment, ispleased to announce the sale of its factory site in Leeds, West Yorkshire for aprice of £6.5m payable in cash on completion. The site, which is approximately13 acres, has a book value of £5.6m. Net sale proceeds will be applied toreduce borrowings. Pittards will continue to occupy the site under licence until December 2006,whilst it completes the surrender of its Integrated Pollution Prevention &Control licence to the Environment Agency and pending completion of the transferof its operations to its Yeovil facility and Asian sub-contractor.
