Porta Communications plc ("Porta" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that, following the offer by the Company for WFCA plc ("WFCA") being declared unconditional in all respects on 10 September 2012, Bob Morton, Non-Executive Chairman of WFCA, has today been appointed to the Board of Porta as Non-Executive Chairman with immediate effect. David Wright will assume the role of Chief Executive of the enlarged group.

Bob is a chartered accountant, successful entrepreneur and has substantial public company experience. He has served as Chairman to various companies including Systems Union, Maclellan and Vislink plc and is currently also Chairman of a number of other public and listed companies including Armour Group plc, Servoca plc and St Peter Port Capital Limited. In addition, he holds directorships in a wide range of private companies.

Chief Executive David Wright said:

"I have known Bob Morton for a number of years, and worked with him when he was chairman of Incepta, the holding company for Citigate. Bob always takes an active role in the development of the companies with which he is involved and the knowledge and experience he brings will be a considerable asset to Porta."

Arthur Leonard Robert Morton, aged 70, is beneficially interested in 11,907,937 ordinary shares of 10p each in Porta representing 11.68 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company based on 101,921,844 Porta shares in issue as at 25 September 2012.

Mr. Morton is or has been in the past five years, a director of the following companies:

*Hat Pin plc was placed into creditors' voluntary liquidation on 6 May 2009. Customvis plc was placed into creditors' voluntary liquidation and wound up on 15 July 2011 with deficiencies to creditors of £1,660,814.

Mr. Morton has confirmed that there is no further information to be disclosed in accordance with the requirements of Schedule Two (g) of the AIM Rules.
